settings: fix saving of visual settings of page size

After 19f15cde2cdb it was no longer to save page_size because formfill didn't
match. Back out a part of that changeset.

# readthedocs compatible alternative to "pip install -e ." which is a working
# alternative to "setup.py develop" which doesn't work with Mercurial 3.7
